In Kyoto city, where Hotel Espasion Pontocho is located, an accommodation tax system is implemented in accordance with the “Kyoto City Lodging Tax Ordinance”, with effect from 1st October 2018. All guests staying at our Hotel Espasion Pontocho will be charged the following accommodation tax:

• The accommodation tax refers to room charge only, excluding meals and other charges. Service charge is included, and consumption tax and local consumption tax are excluded.
• Those participating in school excursions and other school events and those accompanying them are exempted from the tax.
• Guests are required to pay the accommodation tax during check-in. Cashless payment only.
